Bet you didn’t know

Bet you didn’t know that dancing is not only a good Cardio workout but it also uplifts the spirit helps to restore emotional balance. Dancing for me is a spiritual thing. I dance in good times and when it seems there is no way out. David was grateful and he danced with all his might. He didn’t care if others thought he wasn’t acting like King, and he didn’t allow negative self talk to stop him. I’ve been dancing all my life. I grew up in Inwood, Long Island NY. I’m a product of Lawrence School District. In Elementary school, I was part of a dance club, took dance lessons at the Five Towns Community Center. Graduate Lawrence High School class of 1980. Served 5 yrs in the Army. Stationed in Germany for all 5yrs. Have an AA in Human Services from Los Angeles City College I served two terms as President of the Black Student Union. One term as Student Body President 1996-1997 academic year. B.S. in Political Science from Cal State Northridge. For two years I participated in the Model United Nations, I served as one of the Judges on the Internation Court of Justice (ICJ). Both years we came home with the trophy. Currentt=ly I’m working at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA in the Spinal Cord Injury Dept as a Medical Specialist Assistant (MSA). I am going to share with you the pearls of wisdom given to me by my Grandmother, Mother, and Sister. My mother said to me “James if you can help one person before you leave then your living will not have been in Vain” So stay with me as we go on this journey. My hope is that you learn to Dance like David and if your not ready to dance at least listen to the lyrics on Lee Ann Womack – I hope you Dance
